The basics

Nutritional Therapy Basics

An NTP is a holistic nutrition professional certified through the Nutritional Therapy Association.

  • Training: 1,200+ hours of coursework and exams
  • Focus: bringing natural balance back to the body using its innate wisdom, in combination with the Foundations of health
  • Approach: bio-individuality (every body is unique)

NTPs are not doctors, licensed medical or mental health providers, nutritionists, or registered dietitians (RDs).

A personalized, whole-food approach to wellness. Instead of putting a band-aid on symptoms or chasing quick fixes, we look at what your body is trying to tell you. It’s built on the nutritional Foundations:

  • A properly prepared, nutrient-dense diet
  • Optimal digestion
  • Blood sugar regulation
  • Essential fatty acids
  • Vitamins and minerals
  • Hydration
  • Plus lifestyle factors like sleep, movement, and stress
  • NTP: 1,200+ hours of training through the Nutritional Therapy Association. Focuses on bio-individuality, whole foods, the Foundations, and your body’s own signals. Doesn’t diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and often works alongside your doctor or RD.
  • Registered dietitian (RD): a licensed healthcare professional who can provide medical nutrition therapy for diagnosed conditions, often in hospitals and clinics, typically following federal standards like the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and MyPlate.
  • Nutritionist: a broader title that isn’t regulated in many states, so training varies widely.

No. NTPs don’t diagnose, heal, treat, or prescribe. Nutritional therapy supports your body’s built-in brilliance through nourishing food, lifestyle guidance, and education, ideally as one part of your healthcare team alongside your doctor or other providers.

Not at all. Some people enjoy exploring intuition and mind-body practices, and that’s welcome, but it’s always optional. The core of the work is practical, evidence-informed nutrition and lifestyle adjustments.

Not in the traditional sense. The number on the scale isn’t the goal here - your health and happiness are!

Frankly Nutritious focuses on how you feel: your energy, digestion, mood, and relationship with food.

  • No calorie counting, restriction, or “good” vs. “bad” foods
  • Your body may change as you nourish it (and that’s okay!), but it isn’t how we measure success

If weight is on your mind, you’re welcome to bring it up! We’ll talk about it with zero judgment, through the lens of your overall health.

One-on-one

Working Together

It starts with a free initial consultation. Then you choose your level of support:

  • Assess & Digest: a one-time assessment
  • Thyme for Change: six sessions over three months (every other week)
  • Hustle & Brussel: twelve sessions over three months (weekly)
  • Simmer & Sustain: a one-time follow-up for past clients

Once you pick your level of support, we work through the program together, and I’ll give you recommendations aligned with your personal health goals.

Compare every option on the For Individuals page.

It’s a free 20-minute conversation about your goals, your questions, and what you’re hoping to change. Together, you’ll explore whether working together is the right fit, and which option makes sense for you.

And at the very least? We’ll have an open, easy conversation about nutrition and wellness, and you’ll walk away knowing a little more than when you started.

Want to know more? Visit the Get Started page for all the details.

Honestly? That’s exactly what the free initial consultation is for (you may have noticed I mention it a time or two… or on every page).

But seriously, book that free consult and we’ll find the right fit together!

Every body is different, so there’s no promise of a specific result. What you can count on is guidance built around you, and the more you put in, the more you’ll get out of it.

No, never. The focus is always on food and lifestyle first. If a supplement might support your goals, we’ll talk it through together, and you can find professional-grade options I trust through my Fullscript store on the Franky Recommends page.

Plus, as a one-on-one client, you’ll get lifetime access to my Fullscript dispensary, client discount included!

Fees depend on the service. We go over options and pricing during the free initial consultation.

  • You can pay in full or choose a payment plan
  • Payment plans can be tailored to fit your needs
  • Discounts are available for referrals and email newsletter subscribers!

I’m also open to trading comparable goods or services. We can talk it through during your consultation.
